ERIC

The ERIC database consists of two different indexes: Current Index to Journals in Education (CIJE) and Resources in Education (RIE). CIJE provides indexing and abstracting for more than 1,500 articles from over 900 education periodicals. RIE provides indexing for non-journal sources of information, including such materials as research findings, technical reports, unpublished manuscripts, and books selected by the ERIC clearinghouse. Related to RIE is the ERIC Document Reproduction Service (EDRS) which makes available reproductions of approximately 2,200 ERIC Digest records that feature the full text of the original document. The ERIC Thesaurus is available as a menu option on the search screen.
