The Health Science Databases consist of the following EBSCO products:

Health Source: Consumer Edition offers information on many health topics including the medical sciences, food sciences, nutrition, childcare, sports medicine and general health. This database includes the following:
  • searchable fulltext for over 160 journals including the British Medical Journal and The Lancet
  • abstracts and indexing for over 180 general health, nutritional and professional health care publications
  • 20 health research books, including books published by the People's Medical Society
  • thousands of essays from Clinical Reference Systems covering eight major health related subjects, including adult health, behaviour health, cardiology, drug and medication information, pediatric health, senior health, women's health and sports medicine
  • Stedman's Medical Dictionary , providing users with access to terminology of genetics, oncology, pediatrics, pulmonology, emergency medicine, bacteriology, and laboratory medicine
  • searchable full text for over 1,016 health-related pamphlets

Health Source: Nursing/Academic Edition is comprised of more than 560 scholarly full text journals focussing on many medical disciplines. Coverage of nursing and allied health is particularly strong.

Alt HealthWatch focusses on complementary, holistic and integrated approaches to health care and wellness. It includes approximately 50,000 articles from over 174 international, peer-reviewed and professional journals, magazines, reports, proceedings and association and consumer newsletters (most from 1990 to the present), plus hundreds of pamplets, booklets, special reports, original research and book excerpts. In addition to the standard bibliographic citations, the database indexes each article by more than 225 subject categories, 16 articles types and 11 publication types.
