BC ELN 2006 Ranking Survey: public results

Results of the 2006 BC ELN Ranking Survey: proposed activities for 2007/2008

The 2006 Ranking Survey results are now available.

The annual survey asks delegates from each partner library to identify up to three titles, in ranked preference, considered to be suitable candidates for a BC ELN consortium license.

The highest priority titles, as identified by the survey results, are:

BC ELN will obtain additional information and where feasible, coordinate trials for the above titles.

With respect to the SAGE titles (Criminology and Sociology), BC ELN will investigate the options available to libraries not able to join under CRKN's recently announced licence (see http://www.library.yale.edu/~llicense/ListArchives/0602/msg00069.html).

ARTstor is another title recently licensed by CRKN; pending staff resources, BC ELN will likewise review the options available to libraries not able to join that licence.

28 libraries participated in this year's survey (see Appendix B, below). A total of 2 declined participation (the most cited reason being a projected lack of sufficient funds).
