CUFTS OA MEETING. NOVEMBER 21, 2007.

Round Table of introductions where members introduced themselves and explained their background and interest in the CUFTS OA Collections Group.

Minutes of previous meeting approved.

Spreadsheet updating procedures approved with one change which was to add new titles at the top of the list rather than at the bottom.

The title lists in Google Docs will be shared with the world via the publishing option in Google Docs.

Allison volunteered to draft selection/inclusion criteria for the three lists currently being maintained in the Google Docs spreadsheet.

John Dobson recommended using Xeno software for link checking. SFU was going to look to see if there was a link checker in either a Google or Firefox extension. Project List - was tabled for next meeting. Was suggested that SLAIS or Library Tech students on practicum could so some of these projects.

Related to this, it was suggested that indexing information for journals be added to the OA lists.

Heather Morrison is going to contact some people in the Public Library sector, government libraries and/or health libraries to make them aware of the CUFTS OA initiative.

Gilbert Bede summarised a number of different possible products for conferencing software. There will be a follow-up at the next meeting with more information.
