BC ELN has worked at adding databases slowly, over time. Early on, the databases were pricey for smaller institutions. When everyone got Academic Search Elite, it was pretty big. Also, BC ELN is able to work with vendors on behalf of smaller organizations. Trinity Western University had some timing issues with one vendor, and BC ELN helped out. One of BC ELN's strengths is that they will advocate with the vendor.
