BC ELN Teams and Lists

BC ELN Teams and Lists provide a medium for BC ELN to distribute information about products, services and initiatives to partner libraries, and for partner libraries to communicate with each other and with the BC ELN Office about these topics.

In general, Teams are formal groups with a specific mandate, a Terms of Reference document, and a process for determining membership. Lists provide a channel for notifying partner libraries of operational issues affecting the use of BC ELN products and services.

Database Licensing

Collection Development Team

Advise and assist BC ELN in the licensing of new products and the renewal of existing licences

Used for notification of database outages and other operational issues

Resource Sharing

Resource Sharing Team

Advise and assist BC ELN on resource sharing projects and policy, and also coordination of the Feature Film Public Performance Rights (PPR) licenses

Advise and assist BC ELN on media-related products and services

OutLook Post-Secondary ILL List (PS-ILL)

A discussion list focusing on resource sharing issues as they relate to the OutLook OnLine ILL management system

Union Database List

Used for notification of outages and other problems, interface changes and enhancements, submission schedules and other operational issues for the BC ELN Union databases

CUFTS Free! Open Access Collections Team

Coordinate production and maintenance of lists of open access titles for inclusion in the CUFTS Knowledgebase

Advise BC ELN Steering Committee on policy, planning, and operations of AskAway
